FAQ

How much does it cost?

It really depends on how much you budget for! Elopements can cost anywhere from $5,000-$15,000. Some things to account for are your travel expenses, vendors, and location permits (see below for more info).

How do I get permits?

I’ll definitely help you with this! Some places in Colorado don’t require permits (I’ve found some hidden gems!), but many popular places do. If you’re interested in eloping at a national park, you can find permit info on their website!

What time of day should I elope?

I always recommend sunrise or sunset. You’ll see much fewer crowds at sunrise and it’ll be private! At sunset, you’ll get that soft alpine glow. The best time in the morning is about 30 minutes before the sun rises. Likewise, in the evening, it’s about 30 minutes before the sun sets. I like to do a couple's portraits right as the sun comes up or goes down for that glow. Blue hour, which is the hour after the sun sets below the horizon, is incredible for dreamy, artistic photos! During that time, we can bring out some lanterns to add an ethereal effect. Google Earth is great for seeing sunrise and sunset times on a particular day!
